# Agentive

> Infrastructure for organizations that must act under uncertainty. AI-driven process automation for growing businesses. Founded by Johan Trip.

Agentive is a Dutch AI automation company founded by [Johan Trip](https://johantrip.ai) in 2024. We build AI agents and intelligent automation for midmarket companies (€5M–€100M revenue) that need to act decisively during the AI transition — not wait for someone else to tell them what to do.

The name says it: *agentive* means having the capacity to act. Not control — that's a fantasy. Not surrender — that's capitulation. Agency: the ability to choose when the outcome isn't certain.

## Our Philosophy

We operate from a specific worldview: AI is a technological supercycle that will fundamentally reshape how companies operate and people work. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei calls this moment "technological adolescence" — the discovery that nobody is coming to save you. Not regulators, not consultants, not the market.

We refuse four positions the market sells:
- **Doomerism** — naming catastrophe doesn't place you outside it
- **Accelerationism** — speed without direction isn't strategy, it's panic with a business plan
- **The therapeutic fantasy** — you can't guardrail your way to safety
- **The consultant fantasy** — nobody can do your thinking for you

We build infrastructure instead. The acting remains yours.
